It's Nice to Share

Nice Ride needs your help to provide a safe, reliable and convenient public bike sharing system. Please consider a tax deductable donation or lend a hand by becoming a volunteer.

Support Nice Ride with a Donation

Nice Ride Minnesota is a nonprofit organization that relies individual donations as well as subscription and usage fees to fund our operations. We welcome donations from people who share our interest in enhancing the quality of urban life through public bike sharing.

Your donation to Nice Ride will support:

  • Expansion of the Nice Ride system to more neighborhoods.
  • Affordable subscriptions and low usage fees.
  • Bicycle advocacy and education.
  • Clean, healthy transportation alternatives.

Support Nice Ride by Volunteering

Volunteering for Nice Ride is a fun way to support your favorite bike non-profit and make new friends. Nice Ride utilizes volunteers at the many public events in which we participate. Typical responsibilities include: setting up/taking down materials, tabling or checking in bikes at some of the city's most popular fairs, festivals and summer celebrations.

What's expected?
Just commit to a 3.5 hour shift. We will provide you with a free Nice Ride t-shirt to keep, familiarize you with all that is Nice Ride, including briefing you on the typical Q&A. Then you work at the Nice Ride tent answering questions and promoting public bike share to all those interested. You'll never be left in the dark because a Nice Ride staff person or experienced volunteer is present at every gig. We use teams of volunteers, so sign up with your friends or work colleagues. Or come by yourself, it’s a great way to meet new friends and support a cutting edge non-profit. If you want to join our volunteer team or are looking for other ways to be involved, don't hesitate to contact our Coordinator, Jake Quarstad: volunteer@niceridemn.org. Thanks so much for your support and enthusiasm, as we work together to shift the way Minneapolis moves.

From the FAQ

How do I return a bike?

Push the front wheel of the bike firmly into the bike dock until the green light on the dock comes on. The green light indicates that the bike is locked and properly returned. If the red light on the bike dock stays on, remove the bike and try another empty bike dock. The bike remains your responsibility until it is properly returned.
