2010 Nice Ride Season Ends Nov 7th, 10:00pm - Announcing the End of Season Challenge

Share   |  Posted Oct. 25, 2010 by Mitch Vars

The inaugural Nice Ride season will be coming to a close at 10pm on Sunday, November 7th when Daylight Savings Time ends.  It's been a fantastic first year with over 94,000 rides taken so far. Bikes will no longer be available for use starting at 10pm on Sunday November 7th. We will begin removing equipment from the street on November 8th. All bicycles and stations will be placed in storage for the winter to make way for snow plowing to prevent damage to equipment caused by road salt. Nice Ride will return to service in April of 2011.

Take the End of Season Challenge!

With just a short time left before it's time to put the system away for the winter, we thought we'd have a little contest. Announcing the End of Season Challenge! Maybe you're not and Olympian, maybe you never won the Scripps spelling bee, still, this might be your chance to achieve a victory so impressive that we thought it warranted it's own cool graphic.

How does it work? Simple. The rider who logs the most trips on Nice Ride bikes between 12:01am on October 26th and 10pm November 7th wins. Long trips, short trips or trips around the block, we don't care!

We'll be announcing the winner sometime later in the week of November 8th.

Prizes: The winner of the End of Season Challenge will receive a Nice Ride Mechanic’s shirt, a gift certificate for an annual subscription in 2011, and a $25 gift certificate to the Birchwood Cafe.  In addition, you'll have the everlasting respect of all your vanquished competitors.

Rules:
There are no rules. Ride more, sleep less. Now you have an excuse to leave the office early on Friday-blame it on us.
