The whole idea of Nice Ride is to give you better access to all the things that make life in the Twin Cities so great.

(OK, it's also to make the city greener, save gas, get you out and breathing and having fun and looking good.)

For example, the prize we're giving away to the lucky winner of today's Nice Ride Summer Experience drawing. Sign up for a new or renewed 1-year subscription to Nice Ride today, and you will be entered into today's drawing for a private, behind the scenes tour of the Weisman Art Museum. It's for eight people, so it sounds like a party to us. The winner will also get a 1-year Weisman membership for 2, which gets you all sorts of exhibition previews, artist meet-ups, curator talks and so on. Talk about unique access.

This is the new, expanded Weisman's first full summer since its Frank Gehry-designed extension opened last October, so if you haven't been yet, go. And if you haven't signed up for a Nice Ride subscription, do that too, right now. The earlier you sign up, the more daily drawings you get to be in.

PS. Don't forget, every new 1-year subscription or renewal gets a very limited edition Twin Six t-shirt, while supplies last.

It challenging to be taken seriously riding these green MN ‘free ride’ bikes to work, not to mention commuting to work via bikes in general. The combination of suit & tie + geeky green bike looks quit odd. Of course these perceptions could change within a hundred years or so, or even sooner, if political leaders wanted to act as good examples, the Mayor and city council members commuting on them for example...every day....But even the politicians won't likely help much since no one takes them seriously anyway.
