Classic King of The Hill Bike Race

Sunday, September 8, 2013 - St. Paul, MN - Be sure to check out the King of the Hill race in conjunction with the St. Paul Classic bike ride.  It's a timed event where riders bike up Ramsey Hill in St. Paul.  The hill is a quarter-mile long and rises 130 feet in elevation.  Each heat will have up to six racers.   At 10:30 am, there will be a special Bikeapalooza featuring heats with only Nice Ride bikes and more.  See below for the schedule and link below for registration for the race.  It's going to be a ton of fun, whether you race or go to support your local cyclists.

  • 8:30 a.m. - Men’s B recreational riders - 6 heats - limited to 36 racers
  • 9:00 a.m. - Women’s B recreational riders - 4 heats - limited to 24 racers
  • 9:20 a.m. - Junior girls 14 to 18 - 1 heat - limited to 6 racers
  • 9:25 a.m. - Junior boys 14 to 18 - 2 heats - limited to 12 racers
  • 9:40 a.m. - Men over 50 - 6 heats - limited to 36 racers
  • 10:10 a.m. - Women over 45 - 4 heats - limited to 24 racers
  • 10:30 a.m. - BIKEAPALOOZA! A kitchen sink of races including Nice Ride Bikes, Fixies and Fat Bikes
  • 11:10 a.m. - Women’s A Racers (USCF categories 1, 2, and 3) - 3 heats - limited to 18 racers
  • 11: 30 a.m. - Men’s A Racers (USCF categories 1, 2, and 3) - 6 heats - limited to 36 racers

At noon the top six racers will ride again to determine King and Queen of The Hill.

How long can I take a bike out?

Bike sharing is designed for short trips. Trips over 30 minutes will incur usage fees. You can take a bike out for a maximum of 24 hours. After that time, the bike will be considered lost and a replacement fee will be charged to your credit card.
