Nice Ride Minnesota is a non-profit 501(c)3 that owns and operates the Nice Ride Minnesota bike share system. Our goal is to make it easy for everyone to use a bike for short urban trips. We believe a city where people choose to ride bikes for transportation is a healthier and more vibrant place to live. We currently operate an urban bike share system of 198 bike share stations with more than 1,800 bikes.
The Nice Ride driver/rebalancer position works as an independent member of our operations team, monitoring the bike share system and maintaining the supply of bikes and available dock points in the system.
Driver/rebalancers also perform bike and bike station maintenance throughout the day. This is a customer-facing position which often requires answering questions from the public on how to use the system, give bike route advice and answer other questions.
We generally work in two shifts, 7 days/week. The early shift is 7:00am-3:00pm. The afternoon shift is 2:30pm-11:00pm. Operations associates typically work from a small pick-up, equipped with a laptop or tablet, a trailer for moving bikes, and maintenance tools and supplies.
Starting wage: $12/hour
Driver/Rebalancer's are also eligible for a bi-weekly performance bonus up to 20% of wage.
Seasonal Position: (Mid-March through Mid-November)
Part-Time to Full Time Positions Available
